Letter From the Campus Director

Dear Future Therapist,

You are about to embark on a life changing experience, one that will bring you joy as well as challenge; one that will bring you work that has deep meaning and professional and personal rewards for the rest of your working career. I'm very excited that you have inquired into the National Academy of Massage Therapy and Healing Sciences for your massage training! You might consider enrolling at the Academy because you have been told that you have "great hands" and you think that becoming a Massage Therapist will be fun. But wait until you see what lies ahead!

You will be challenged to reach to your highest potential so that you can assist clients in achieving deep changes in their physical and emotional well being. These changes will run the gamut from the physical healing of muscle tension and spasms to the emotional releases that can happen during massage therapy and body work sessions. Either way, you are rewarded with the joy of helping another human being have less pain and feel better; the joy of truly meaningful work! It is my commitment to you to present you with an education of the highest caliber, one that will establish not only a foundation for excellence in the field of therapeutic massage and bodywork, but also an education that will be exciting, enriching, rewarding, and fun! If, after reading through this catalog, you have any further questions or would like further clarity, I or one of my associates would love to talk with you further.

Best wishes, and we hope to see you at the Academy soon!

Your Friend in Health,

Janet B. Leidy, NCTMB, CMT, BA
Campus Director
