The Philosophy and Mission of the National
Academy of Massage Therapy Division of Lansdale School of
Business, which is located at 290 Wissahickon Avenue, North
Wales, PA 19454, is to provide our students with a professional
learning experience that encompasses both the medical, as
well as the holistic aspects of Massage Therapy & Bodywork,
and/or Reflexology.
Each student will be encouraged to work
to their own potential and to develop both their hands-on
knowledge & skills as well as their professional/business
demeanor. Each student will be acknowledged and appreciated
for what they contribute to class and clinical experiences.
Each student is encouraged to use this program not only
for career and professional development, but also as a means
to self awareness and personal growth.
The Educational Objectives for both
the Massage Therapy Diploma Program and the Reflexology
Diploma Program are as follows:
Massage Therapy Diploma Program
- To prepare students to enter the
work world as qualified and technically skilled professional
Massage Therapists by imparting both knowledge and hands-on
experience to them.
- To provide a quality education to
our students that will ultimately result in the awarding
of a Diploma in Massage Therapy.
- To give students a wide base of
knowledge of anatomy & physiology, pathology, massage
therapy theory and technique as well as adjunct therapy
and modality theory and technique.
- To prepare students to become a
part of an allied health care team.
- To provide students with a clinical
experience that will prepare them to work with the public.
- To educate students as to the scope
of their practice as well as ethical principles of Massage
Therapy.
- To provide a fun, enriching, safe,
and non-judgmental supervised atmosphere where the student
is free to share personal attitudes, philosophies, and
opinions.
Reflexology Certificate Program
- To prepare students to enter the
work world as qualified and technically skilled professional
Reflexologists by imparting both knowledge and hands-on
experience to them.
- To provide a quality education to
our students that will ultimately result in the awarding
of a Certificate of completion in Reflexology.
- To prepare students to become a
part of an allied health care team.
- To educate students as to the scope
of their practice as well as ethical principles of Reflexology.
- To provide a fun, enriching, safe,
and non-judgmental supervised atmosphere where the student
is free to share personal attitudes, philosophies, and
opinions.
