Massage Therapy Continuing Education

Seminars

The National Academy of Massage Therapy, which is 30 minutes Northwest of the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, offers a comprehensive schedule of massage therapy continuing education courses, classes, and seminars to massage therapists, body workers, and other health care professionals. These workshops are scheduled throughout the year and vary in cost. All graduates of the Academy will be automatically placed on our mailing list and sent periodic updates as to workshops that may be of interest. Touch for Health I
Applied Kinesiology

Instructor: Janet Leidy, NCTMB Certified TFH Instructor

July 24th and 31st, 2010
9am-5pm both days

NCBTMB Category A Approved

Cost: $300 (textbook included)

 


Through Applied Kinesiology / Muscle Testing, students will learn specific hands-on techniques that will: Accelerate recovery from illness and injuries; Reduce or eliminate many different kinds of pain: headaches, backaches, stomach aches, etc; Prevent future health problems; Increase energy and counteract fatigue; and show immediately which foods are undermining a client's energy. Touch for Health Kinesiology balances the body through muscle testing/ monitoring of 14 major muscles to improve posture and stimulate the body's own healing ability. Students receive Level I certification. Please see the Touch for Health Applied Kinesiology website for more information. Touch for Health Kinesiology Association is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodyworkers (NCBTMB) as a continuing education provider.


 

Touch for Health II
Applied Kinesiology

A continuation of TFH I, students are introduced to 14 new muscles as well as the Oriental 5 elements theory. Through Applied Kinesiology / Muscle Testing, students will learn specific hands-on techniques that will: Accelerate recovery from illness and injuries; Reduce or eliminate many different kinds of pain: headaches, backaches, stomach aches, etc; Prevent future health problems; Increase energy and counteract fatigue; and show immediately which foods are undermining a client's energy. Touch for Health Kinesiology balances the body through muscle testing/monitoring to improve posture and stimulate the body's own healing ability. Students receive Level II certification. Certificates of Completion
(Must currently be a Massage Therapist or Bodyworker to be eligible to complete these classes.)


These classes, which are a part of our 600 Hour Massage Therapy Program, can be taken on an individual basis through the school and counted toward AMTA and ABMP continuing education requirements. A certificate of completion will be issued for each class completed.

19. Adult CPR/First Aid/ AED certification. This class is open to the general public and does not require participant to be a Massage Therapist or Bodyworker.
