Experience the Waves of Aloha with Lomilomi: Temple Style Bodywork Training

"The Revered Healing Tradition of Hawaii"

The benefits of Hawaiian Temple Bodywork, also known as lomi-lomi, encompass far more than simple massage in the Western sense. Over the years, the Kahuna (Hawaiian expert) discovered that the physical body holds the easiest patterns to affect and change. Once these patterns soften and shift, our emotional, psychological, spiritual and cognitive patterns become easier to access. Lomi-lomi energizes the body, aligns it and opens it to new experiences. This allows us to face change, new tasks and unforeseen demands in our life with more confidence, creativity and power.

Lomi-lomi comes to us today as a holistic healing ritual based upon initiation rites developed and practiced in the temples of ancient Hawaii. Based upon the philosophy that all things seek harmony and love, lomilomi restores balance to mind, body and soul. Profoundly relaxing, it regenerates vitality, releases tensions, clarifies mind and emotions, restores body awareness and self acceptance. It's hands-on healing that is deep and powerful yet gentle, giving immediate and long-term benefits. Lomilomi creates a beautiful way of bringing the joy of life to your body, a feeling of peace to your mind and a sense of wonder to your soul.

The Lomilomi Training covers flowing forearm technique for the back and front of the body, stress free body mechanics, conscious breath and awareness to restore physical integrity and inner harmony. Also included: self-awareness exercises, energy basics, client communication skills, creating sacred space, self-care, Hawaiian talk story and full session exchanges.
